Privacy Policy

Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Cue-Go Limited ("Cue-Go", "we", "us"), a New Zealand company, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information, in line with the Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

• Contact and account details: your name, email, phone number, and delivery and billing addresses.
• Order details: what you buy, order history, and payment status. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
• Trade account details for schools, hire companies and installers.
• Messages, enquiries and support requests you send us, by email or through our website.
• Website usage data collected through cookies and Google Analytics (GA4).

How we use your information

• To process, fulfil, deliver and support your orders, including order confirmations, dispatch updates and, if an item is on back-order, a weekly stock update until it ships.
• To set up and manage trade accounts.
• To respond to your enquiries and provide customer service.
• If you leave items in your cart at checkout, we may send you a reminder about them.
• To send you news and offers where you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve our website, products and services, and to prevent fraud.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.
• For any other purpose reasonably related to the above or notified to you at the time of collection.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to run our business, and we do not sell it. This includes:

• The New Zealand distributors who fulfil your order. Much of our range ships directly from our distributors' warehouses, so we give them your name, delivery address and contact details to deliver your order.
• Couriers and delivery services.
• Our payment provider (Stripe).
• IT and communications providers who host our website and order system, email and email delivery, analytics and other business tools. This includes an AI assistant service we use to help draft replies to customer emails; a member of our team reviews every reply before it is sent.
• Professional advisers such as our accountants, and anyone we are required or permitted by law to share it with.

Storage outside New Zealand

Some of our providers (for example Google, Stripe, our email delivery and AI assistant providers) store or process information outside New Zealand, including in Australia and the United States. When we use overseas providers we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in a way that is comparable to New Zealand law.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. You can control or disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as well.

Storage, retention and security

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and protect it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and keep transaction records for at least seven years as New Zealand tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact our Privacy Officer at [email protected]. We will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version published on cue-go.co.nz applies.
